Cabin 1 at Turner Falls: Above Honey Creek, Near Blue Hole

Book Direct and Save 10-15% over Vrbo, Expedia or Airbnb — Ask us about multi-night rates!

Cabin 1 sits on a hill directly above Honey Creek — the same water that drops 77 feet to become Turner Falls. From the large open deck, you can see the creek running below and the Arbuckle Mountains rising behind it. The Blue Hole, the main swim area inside Turner Falls Park, is a 5-minute walk from your front door.

This is the cabin guests come back to specifically for the view.

The Deck

The deck is why people book this cabin twice. It faces west, which means Oklahoma sunsets directly in front of you, unobstructed. Honey Creek moves below. At night, it’s dark enough to see stars clearly. In the morning, you’ll hear the water before you open your eyes.

There’s a fire pit, a charcoal grill, chairs, and a table already out there. Guests have had coffee here in December and cocktails here in July. Both work.

The spacious deck overlooking Honey Creek was perfect for sitting with my coffee on the crisp mornings, enjoying the scenery and listening to the rippling waters of the creek below.”
— Annalee, Christmas stay

“The balcony was perfect for morning coffee and to watch the sunset behind the mountains.”
— Joey, Dallas TX

“Pictures don’t do the view justice.”

Location: Inside Turner Falls Park

Cabin 1 is one of 7 cabins we operate inside Turner Falls Park. Not near the park, not a mile down the road; inside it.

That means when the day ends, you walk back to your cabin. No driving. No park re-entry. No hunting for parking after a swim. The cabin is above the creek, away from the busier park areas, which is why guests consistently describe it as quiet and private even during summer weekends.

From Cabin 1:

  • Blue Hole (main swim area): 5-minute walk
  • Turner Falls waterfall: approximately 0.5 miles
  • Park trading post and concessions: short walk
  • Cross Bar Ranch ATV Park: 10 minutes by car

The Park Admission

To reach your cabin, you drive through the park entrance and pay admission — currently around $20/vehicle/day. If you arrive after 4 p.m., you’re not charged for that day.

In summer on peak weekends, there may be an additional parking fee to park close to the cabin. We’ll give you the details in your check-in instructions.

When to Come

  • Summer (June–August): Peak season. The Blue Hole fills up. Book early — July goes first.
  • Spring (April–May): The waterfall runs at its strongest after spring rains. Comfortable hiking temperatures, fewer crowds, lower rates. Wildflowers on the trails in April.
  • Fall (September–October): The Arbuckle Mountains turn in October. The Red Dirt Music Festival runs at the park in October. ATV season at Cross Bar Ranch. Quiet, cool evenings on the deck.
  • Winter (November–March): Turner Falls stocks Honey Creek with trout from November through March. The park empties out. The deck still faces the same mountains, the same creek, the same sunset — just with no one else in the frame. Lowest rates of the year.

“Usually summer is the preferred time to visit the area due to the park’s swimming amenities, but this trip has inspired me to visit more during the winter. The cold temps only added to the coziness of the warm cabin. My husband enjoyed fishing while the creek was empty of summer swimmers.”
— Annalee, Christmas stay, Oklahoma City
