When to Come

Summer (June–August): Peak season. The central location makes Cabin 3 the most popular family pick — you’re never far from the water, the shade, or the snack stand. Book early.

Spring (April–May): The waterfall runs hardest after spring rains. April wildflowers on the trails. Quieter park, lower rates.

Fall (September–October): The Red Dirt Music Festival runs at the park in October. Cooler evenings, fall foliage, prime hiking weather.

Winter (November–March): Honey Creek is stocked with trout from November through March. The park empties. The porch still faces the same waterfall — just a quieter version of it. Lowest rates of the year.
