Cabin 4 is the only two-bedroom cabin at Turner Falls. It sits about 50 stairs up the mountainside — high enough that the back wall is all glass, and the river runs below you.
If your group needs two private rooms instead of one bedroom and a pull-out, this is the one. Two separate bedrooms, one bath, and a living area with a fold-out sofa for a fifth sleeper. The view from the glass back wall is the reason guests come back.

The View from the Top
Cabin 4 sits higher on the hillside than most of the other cabins. “About 50 stairs up” is accurate — guests mention the climb in almost every review. They also mention that it’s worth it.
The back of the cabin is glass across the full width. The river runs directly below. Guests describe waking up to the view, grilling at the bottom of the steps, and walking to the falls in the morning without moving the car.
“The teenagers loved being up over the river.”
— Rhonda, Texas
“Stair climb was rough but the views were worth the climb.”
— Karlee, Texas
“Right on the water and next to the falls. Best spot in the park.”
— Jeffrey, Dallas TX
“We had a good pretty view to wake up to in the morning. Grilled hot dogs on the grill at the bottom of the steps. Walked to the falls in the morning!”
— Will, Texas
“We loved the scenery from the cabin with view of the area.”
— Eric, Texas
The Stairs — What to Know
About 50 stairs separate the cabin from ground level. That’s the tradeoff for the height and the view. Come prepared:
- Pack light or make multiple trips
- The grill is at the base of the stairs — you don’t have to haul food all the way up to cook
- The stairs are steep enough that guests with mobility issues should consider Cabin 3 (ground level, no stairs) instead
