The Woods — What to Expect

Half a mile from the Turner Falls Park entrance. The road leading up to the cabin runs through trees — guests describe the kids walking it in the evening, coming back to deer near the windows.

The fire pit is right outside. Multiple guests mention it specifically: a bonfire, the stars visible overhead, the foliage in October, the quiet after a day at the falls. One guest from Northlake, Texas rated the fall foliage from the cabin as the highlight of the November visit.

“Cute cabin in the woods, with pretty birds, wildlife, peaceful surroundings. Cabin was rustic yet comfortable with AC, fridge, coffee maker, kitchenette with some cooking utensils. Beds were comfortable.”
— Brenda, Yoakum TX

“This place is beautiful and the perfect place to stay for that cabin retreat feel. The photos do not compare. Very cozy, the outside is surrounded by trees and the cabin is slightly secluded in the woods.”
— Ashley, Dallas TX

“We had a little bonfire in the fire pit. We only stayed 1 night, but definitely plan on returning for a longer stay!”
— Cara, Oklahoma City OK

“The road leading up to and beyond the cabin was the perfect distance to take the kids on a short walk. The kids loved seeing a young buck right outside the window!”
— Alyssa, Lincoln NE

— Lee, Watauga TX

“We enjoyed our time inside and around the cabin with the fall foliage at its best.”
— Neda, Los Angeles CA

Pets Welcome

Cabin 7 accepts pets at $25/night/pet. Most of Ron’s in-park cabins do not accept pets. If you’re traveling with a dog, this is your cabin.

Multiple guests have stayed with pets — German Shepherds, dogs of various sizes. Ron has sent video directions for guests arriving after dark with animals. The wooded setting and the road outside the cabin are exactly what you’d want for a dog that needs to move around in the morning.

“Ron was a life saver for my GSD and I on a last minute reservation. He got us in for the night safe and sound with video directions even!”
— Jennifer, Baton Rouge LA

“Quick drive to national forest. Great place to stay.”
— Jennifer, Plano TX
